Students who complete the Cultures in Contact Course can form part of GIEI, an international student organization that represents students from different countries who decided to study in Chile. GIEI assists international students with the transition to Chilean culture and society, as well as the classroom environment. It is also a great opportunity for Chilean students to introduce themselves to the ideas, attitudes, and cultural nuances of people from around the world. GIEI allows our local students to gain experience in intercultural relations before ever leaving on a study abroad experience. Chilean students who have returned from a study abroad experience keep connected with GIEI as well as international students. Chilean students who have participated in the Cultures in Contact Course and have finished their careers keep connected with the University through GIEI Alumni Association.
