Implementing Internationalization at Home (IaH)

The Universidad de Viña del Mar, in cooperation with the UVM International Office, has added Mandarin Chinese, Latin America Literature, and Latin America on Film to its offered elective courses.

The bilingual course Cultures in Contact has also been opened to all students at the university.

The purpose of offering these courses to students is to internationalize the curriculum and to encourage interaction between Chileans and students from Europe, the United States and other parts around the world.

These courses will allow Chilean students, who for different reason can not participate in an exchange program, to acquire intercultural and international knowledge and skills on the UVM campus.

At the same time, these courses will help Chilean students equip themselves with the necessary tools needed to successfully study abroad in the future.
